Forslund: She noted some of the Planning
Commission Agenda items from their February 4,
1981 meeting. Among the items noted were the
MnDOT proposal, review of Shorewood's
Comprehensive Plan, and their approval of the
final draft of the Housing Plan.
Mayor McCarty: He noted that Irondale High
School has entered the State Hockey Tournament
for their 3rd year in a row. Mayor McCarty
instructed Clerk- Administrator Pauley to post
a notice on the bulletin board, and to also
put together a resolution or proclamation
for the team.
Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted a telephone
call from State Senator Don Frank regarding a
consensus of the Council for a possible 4%
gasoline tax increase.
Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that Parks,
Recreation and Forestry Director Anderson had
requested approval of the 1981 Forestry Contract
for tree removal and set the bid opening
for 10:00 a.m., March 27, 1981.
MOTION: Councilmember Doty made a motion,
seconded by Hodges to approve the 1981 Forestry
Contract for tree removal and set the bid
opening for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 1981.

Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that there is
trouble with the sewer line on Quincy. He
noted the located of where there had been
a drop in the pavement, and that today there
had been a drop of 12 feet. He said that a
televising crew had gone out today to televise
the line. He noted that Lift Station #5 is
pumping sand. He further noted that Dan Boxrud
would be talking with the Metropolitan Waste
Control Commission regarding a tie into their
gravity main. He said that the meeting with
the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission
would be held either late on Wednesday or on
Thursday of this week. He said that he would
call the Council by Thursday, and that a special
meeting may be called at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday,
March 12, 1981 to discuss this issue.
16. Report of Administrator
