Clerk - Administrator Pauley indicated the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the work performed by the staff and City Engineer Boxrud in developing a solution to the sewer line break on Quincy Street north of Hillview Road. City Engineer Boxrud presented plans which would call for the abandonment of Lift Station No. 5, the extension of an 18 inch sewer line from the lift station to a point past the break where it would connect with a southerly 8 inch line in a manhole. This manhole would then feed in the MWCC main crossing Quincy Street. Once the work has been completed and accepted, the MWCC would accept responsibility for the meter manhole and 18 inch line connecting it to their main.
