were permitted in the City, then the building
could be homesteaded as two separate units.
Consensus of the Council was to direct the
staff to collect the $15.00 registration fee.
Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director
Anderson stated that he had brought Rich
Riske, City Forestry, New Brighton, with him
this evening to discuss Resolution No. 1255
which is the first draft of the Joint Powers
Agreement for Forestry Services in Mounds
View and New Brighton.
Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director
Anderson discussed costs of equipment,
equipment sharing, and percentage of use. He
stated that Mounds View would be using the
equipment 40 percent of the time. Further
that the City would receive reimbursement
from the State for using the truck for
Forestry purposes.
MOTION: Blanchard made a motion, seconded by
Hodges authorizing approval to the Agreement,
subject to the review by the City Attorney
and to also authorize the Mayor to enter into
the Contract.

Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.
Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director
Anderson stated that he would like to secure
bids for underground wiring into the large
picnic shelter at City Hall. He stated that
the cost would probably be about $1,500 to
$2,000.
MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded
by Hodges authorizing staff to advertise for
bids for the underground electricity for the
outdoor pavillion, and bid opening to be
held at 10:00 a.m. on April 3, 1981.

Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED.

Anderson stated that the Parks and Recreation
Commission would like to have a joint meeting
with the City Council on March 30, 1981.
Consensus of the Council was to set the meeting
for 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 1981.
