- Ordinance does not provide for the waiving
of late fees (utility billing). Attorney
Meyers stated that he would prepare a
Resolution for the next agenda meeting.
- He discussed the vacating of Fairchild.
- City Attorney Meyers advised the Council
that he had been contacted by residents
of the City regarding a referendum on
Ordinance No. 303. He indicated that
it is his position not to advise anyone
other than the City Council and Clerk -
Administrator on this issue.

Forslund: No report.
Blanchard: Open House at Unity for their
15th year on June 7, 1981.
MOTION: Councilmember Blanchard made a motion,
seconded by Councilmember Hodges to change the
May 25, 1981, Council Meeting to May 26, 1981,
because of the Memorial Day Holiday.

Hodges: Clerk- Administrator Pauley has found the
gold shovel.
McCarty: Wetland Ordinance Committee set for
Thursday, May 21, 1981, at 7:30 p.m.
Clerk- Administrator reminded the Council that the
agenda meeting next Monday evening would begin at
6:00 p.m.
Neil Loeding, serving on the Wetland Ordinance
Committee noted the following: "After an initial
period of information meetings and discussion of
what needs to be done to get a well supported
settled Ordinance, we now appear to be at the
point where we can now allow a more concrete set
down of information we need, the work that needs
to be done, and the policy decisions that have
to be made. Also, priority and time frames can
now begin to be set.
MOTION: Councilmember Forslund made a motion,
seconded by Councilmember Hodges to adopt
Resolution 1284 pledge of security with the
City of New Brighton, and to waive the reading
of the Resolution.
