MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded by
Councilmember Blanchard to adopt Resolution No.
1289.

Mayor McCarty discussed the criteria used in deciding
noise level factors.
It was stated that expert testimony would be needed
on noise level factors.
Questions were raised if the Metropolitan Airport
Commission had followed their procedures 100 %.
Councilmember Doty stated that the noise study had
been done by the average. Mayor McCarty discussed
the LDN process.
Councilmember Blanchard stated that she feels that
the Metropolitan Airport Commission definitely appear
at a public hearing, in order that explanations and
answers can be obtained.
Mayor McCarty read letter regarding meeting of April 15,
1981, that the same procedure was done at the Meeting
of May 15, 1981, and that no input had been allowed.
Further that he feels that they are proposing an
intermediate airport and are calling it a minor one.
Discussion took place regarding noise levels, decibel
levels.
Councilmember Forslund stated that she feels that it
is important that the Metropolitan Airport Commission
attend the public hearing.
AMENDMENT TO THE MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a
motion, seconded by Councilmember Doty to amend
Resolution No. 1289, hereby requesting that the
Metropolitan Airport Commission hold a public
hearing with Commissioners present.

Mr. Charles West, representing E.T. Hughes
Construction Company, designer of the building
was in attendance. Mr. West briefly presented
the Site Plan. He stated that they would like
to construct a four unit building on Edgewood.
Further that this request meets all of the
Ordinance and Rice Creek Water Shed requirements.
Councilmember Forslund read Planning Commission
Resolution No. 18 -81.
