Motion /Second: Doty /Hodges to deny the proposal of rezoning from R -1 to R -3. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Councilmember Doty stated that his motion was based on the information received from Staff, the Planning Commission's recommendations, and comments from citizens. Councilmember Forslund stated she based her decision on Resolution No. 24 -81. Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened the public hearing for the rezoning request of Roger Lammi, at 8:35 PM. Mayor McCarty stated it was not necessary 10. Rezoning for Roger to have a Staff report as the Council was Lammi, 7980 Groveland familiar with the request. Road Donald Gross, 8060 Groveland Road, stated he was against the rezoning as the City did not need another place such as the Whirlpool dealer on Highway 10 who stores washing machines in his parking lot. Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened the regular meeting at 8:37 PM. Motion /Second: Doty /Forslund to deny the rezoning request of Roger Lammi, from R -1 to B -1, on the basis of the recommendations from the Planning Commission, Resolution No. 15 -81 and minutes from the Planning Commission. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened the public hearing for the Cable TV request at 8:39 PM. Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that approximately one year ago the City had joined with nine other communities in forming the North Suburban Cable Commission, and that very good progress had been made to date.
