lerk /Administrator Pauley reported that the
electrical connection had not yet been com-
pleted and that the bill before the Council
reflected only the engineering costs.
Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to approve
the bill submitted by Short - Elliott- Hendrickson
for services rendered on the Quincy Street
sewer main repair.

Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to set August
18, 1981 as a special park bond referendum
election for 1.4 million dollars with a
$50,000 park maintenance addendum, and approve
Resolution No. 1329, and waive the reading.

"lerk /Administrator Pauley read a memo received
rom the Fire Chief regarding unsafe warming
douses.
Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to direct Staff to
update the information on the cost of bringing
the buildings into compliance, to be presented
at the July 20, 1981 agenda session.

Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to authorize
Staff to commence the preparation of bid
specifications for the equipment as outlined
with the understanding that the bids be pre-
sented back to the City Council for their
perusal at the July 27, 1981 Council Meeting.

Councilmember Blanchard expressed concern with
the amount of money that was going to be spent
and whether the equipment was really necessary.
Park Director Anderson replied that the Park
Department is very deficient in equipment at
'zis time, and reviewed the need for the equip -
ent. He also explained that they would just
be receiving bids and not purchasing equipment
at this time.
