He stated that the funds would have to come from the contingency as it was not a budgeted item. Mayor McCarty reminded the Council of their firm resolve to not use the contingency funds. Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to have the Department Heads find funds from their present budgets to purchase logos for the vehicles in their departments. If such funds are not available, the logos should be budgeted for in the 1982 budget. 4 ayes 0 nays Mayor McCarty noted that the bid tabulation had been received for the Silverview Park rough and final grading. He noted, however, that the bidders did not bid on the same amount of work, as Mary Anderson Construction ad included the work they had done to date, and thus their bid involved more work and was higher than the other bidders. Motion /Second: McCarty /Forslund to reject all bids and readvertise, with a bid opening date of Tuesday, September 8 at 1 PM. 4 ayes 0 nays Official Rose reported that the Planning Commission had denied the variance request of Harold Hjelle, and that he would like to appeal the denial to the Council. Motion /Second: Doty /Forslund to set a public hearing for September 14, 1981 at 8 PM for Harold Hjelle, 5161 Red Oak Drive. 4 ayes 0 nays Attorney Meyers had no report. .uncilmember Forslund reported that vandalism seems to be increasing in the City and that additional lighting will be requested by thecitizens. 11.
