Asphalt Driveway Co. has been notified not to do
any further work, pending the opinion from the
attorney.
Russell Paul, 7940 Greenfield Avenue, stated he
was concerned with cracks in the City streets,
and the washboard effect after their repair. He
stated he had brought it to the Council's atten-
tion earlier but had not heard back from them.
He added he was not satisfied with the work the
City crews were doing.
Mayor McCarty apologized for a lack of communica-
tion, since it had been his understanding Mr. Paul
was going to get back to him after repairs were
made. He added he had checked with the involved
Staff and had been assured the work was being done
properly. He added that the City always insures
that professionals do the work within the City.
It was the concensus of the Council that Mounds
View does have very good streets.

2ened the sewer rates public hearing at 8:01 PM.
Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the proposed
budget and expected increases in cost to the City
from the MWCC. He stated that Staff recommends
the entire increase be passed along to the
consumer, as they do not feel they can cut services
further. He added that the rate increase does
not include a root control program, which would
increase the cost approximately 25 cents per REC.
Mayor McCarty asked for clarification and more
information from Solidification, Inc. on their
proposal for sewer root control. He asked
specifically for the chemical content of the
solution proposed to be used, and that a
representative of Solidification, Inc. appear
before the Council to answer questions.
Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated he would
have him present at the next meeting.
Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to table action
on sewer rates and the proposed root control
until December 14, 1981.

Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and
reopened the regular meeting at 8:32 PM.
