HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 7769 RESOLUTION NO. 7769 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR KENNETH ROBERTS WHEREAS, Kenneth Roberts' position as Community Development Director was eliminated in accordance with Resolution 7760; and WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 244.82 hours as of April 11, 2011; and WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 66.45 as of April 11, 2011; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution 7760, the balance of unused floating holidays is 8 hours; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution 7760, Mr. Roberts is authorized one week's pay for each completed year of service, totaling to 2 weeks pay or 80 hours; and WHEREAS, Kenneth Roberts' current rate of pay is $43.54 per hour; and WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of sick time will be 244.82 hours x 50% x $43.54 $5,329.73; and WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 66.45 hours x $43.54 $2,893.23; and WHEREAS, consistent with Resolution 7760, the maximum potential payout of unused floating holidays will be 8 hours x $43.54 $348.32; and WHEREAS, consistent with Resolution 7760 the maximum potential payout of completed years of service will be 80 hours x $43.54 $3,483.20; and WHEREAS, $5,329.73 will be contributed to Kenneth Roberts' Retirement Health Savings Plan in accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a one -time payout of sick time not to exceed $5,329.73 into Kenneth Roberts' Retirement Health Saving Plan in accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a one -time payout of vacation to Mr. Roberts not to exceed $2,893.23, consistent with the Mounds View Personnel Manual. Resolution 7769 Page 2 NOW THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council approves a one -time layoff severance and floating holiday payout to Mr. Roberts not to exceed $3,831.52, consistent with Resolution 7760.
