HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 7825 RESOLUTION NO. 7825 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA A Resolution Approving the Hire of Neil Hiatt to the Position of Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Worker position was advertised; and WHEREAS, over eighty(80) applications were received for the position and six(6) were chosen for interview; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Neil Hiatt's skills and experience were determined to most closely match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hiatt's criminal background, driver's license and reference checks are complete and satisfactory; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hiatt will be a member of the Public Works Collective Bargaining • Unit, and would be subject to the established job classification system with regard to the pay scale as set forth in the Public Works Labor Agreement, and WHEREAS, Mr. Hiatt qualifies for Level A pay scale based on the criteria set forth by the Public Works Collective Bargaining Labor Agreement,which is currently established at $21.66 per hour; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hiatt would begin employment on or about Monday, October 3, 2011; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hiatt would be subject to a twelve month probationary period as stated in the Public Works Labor Agreement; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hiatt's employment with the City would be contingent on a satisfactory drug screening and fitness for duty test. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints Neil Hiatt to the position of Public Works Sewer Maintenance Worker with employment to commence on or about October 3, 2011. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the hire of Neil Hiatt to the full-time position of Public Works Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Worker of • the Public Works Department at Level A of the pay scale (currently $21.66/hour) in accordance with the Public Works Collective Bargaining Labor Agreement.
