HomeMy WebLinkAboutEDA Resolution 12-EDA-270 EDA RESOLUTION 12-EDA-270 MOUNDS VIEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF BANNERS & BRACKET SETS FOR THE LIGHT POLES LOCATED ALONG THE COUNTY ROAD 10 TRAILWAYS WHEREAS, at the April 2, 2012 Work Session, the City Council directed staff to explore the following four ways to improve the appearance of County Road 10, one of which was to install banners on the trailway light poles; and, WHEREAS, City staff solicited and received two quotes from professional sign companies for quantities of fifty-five banners and fifty-five bracket sets to be installed by the City's Public Works staff on every other light pole located along the County Road 10 trailways; and, WHEREAS, the two quotes were based on 24" x 48" size banners to be silk screened on both sides in two colors of ink; and, WHEREAS, the two quotes do not include the cost of installation and maintenance of the banners and bracket sets; and, WHEREAS, the two quotes were in the amounts of$6,105.00 and $6,188.00 plus sales tax (a difference of$84), therefore the EDA chose the vendor based on the banner design preferred by the EDA; and, WHEREAS, the EDA will order the banners and bracket sets from Northern Lights Display of Eden Prairie, MN. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View Economic Development Authority does hereby authorize the purchase of banners and bracket sets for the light poles located along the County Road 10 trailways at a price not to exceed $6,215.00 plus sales tax, installation and maintenance costs.
