Approving the Purchase of Business/Rental License and Dog License Modules for
PermitWorks
WHEREAS,the City currently uses a database program called PermitWorks,which is used
track building permits, sewer/water permits, planning applications, and contractor licensing, in the
City; and
WHEREAS, PermitWorks has expanded database modules to track business/rental
licensing, and dog licensing; and
WHEREAS, during the June 11, 2012, City Council Meeting, Staff reported a need to
purchase the Business/Rental License and Dog License modules for PermitWorks to improve
efficiencies and process improvements in the City; and
WHEREAS, it was the consensus of the City Council at the June 11th City Council Meeting
to move forward with approval of these modules at the next City Council; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends the purchase fees for these expanded modules be taken
from Budget Number 100-4180-3030 and Budget Number 100-4160-1600, not to exceed
$4,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approved the purchase of
Business/Rental License and Dog License Modules for PermitWorks with half of the purchase
taken from Budget Number 100-4180-3030 and the other half be taken from Budget Number
100-4160-1600, not to exceed $4,000.
