CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2007 FORD F550 BUCKET TRUCK
WHEREAS, the utilization of vehicles and equipment are needed for maintaining
public works infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, a bucket truck is required to perform various tasks, including
trimming trees and maintaining parking lot, trailway, and athletic facility lights; and
WHEREAS, The City Council understands the need for a bucket truck to perform
some general routine maintenance duties, and;
WHEREAS, the City has budgeted $45,000 in the 2012 budget in account 460-
4160-7030 for the purchase of a bucket truck; and
WHEREAS, Staff has obtained a quote from Aspen Equipment of Bloomington,
Minnesota for a 2007 Ford F550 Bucket Truck in the amount of $45,000 plus sales
taxes and any applicable license fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a 2007 Ford F350 Bucket Truck
with a 2006 Altec model AT3T-G 42' working height boom from Aspen
Equipment of Bloomington, Minnesota (stock number AEC#7001039) at the
cost of$45,000 plus sales taxes and any applicable license fees.
2. Staff is directed and authorized by the City Council to procure the above said
vehicle on behalf of the City.
