COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
Resolution Establishing Public Hearing Dates for the Proposed General Fund
Budget and Property Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2013
WHEREAS,the City is required to hold a truth in taxation hearing under the truth in
taxation laws, as part of the budget process to adopt its final General Fund Budget and
Property Tax Levy for fiscal year 2013; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council would like to provide an opportunity for public comment
at a hearing on the 2013 General Fund Budget and Property Tax Levy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must select dates for an initial hearing and a
continuation hearing; and
WHEREAS, certification of the hearing dates to the Ramsey County Auditor must
occur on or before September 15.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds
View that the initial Truth in Taxation hearing will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at
6:00 p.m. at the Mounds View City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the continuation Truth in Taxation hearing, if
needed, will be held as part of the regular City Council meeting on Monday, December 10,
2012 at 7:05 p.m. at the Mounds View City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the adoption of the final General Fund Budget
and Property Tax Levy for fiscal year 2013 may occur as part of the regular City Council
meeting on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 7:05 p.m. at the Mounds View City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director shall certify these dates to
the Ramsey County Auditor.
Adopted this 27th Day of August 2012.
