RESOLUTION NO. 4488 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA WHEREAS, Mary Saarion has served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for 8 years; and WHEREAS, in that capacity she has served as the staff liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission, Cable Commission, Golf Course Task Force, FOCUS 2000 Housing and Neighborhoods group, Festival Committee and the Community Theater as well as carry out all her department responsibilities with an organizational skill that is of the highest caliber; and WHEREAS, she has consistently exemplified outstanding leadership skills, an outstanding work ethic and an ability to garner limited resources for the benefit of community projects through her excellent grant writing abilities; and WHEREAS, she consistently exhibits outstanding abilities in strategic planning, both departmentally and city-wide; and WHEREAS, her contributions of positive attitude, unyielding commitment to excellence and sustained high energy have helped move the City of Mounds View into a future that is exemplified by .qUality community involvement; and . WHEREAS, Mary Saarion's performance has consistently gone the "extra mile", "over and beyond the call of duty" and .her presence and involvement in this community is truly an asset to the City; and WHEREAS, Mary Saarion is one of those outstanding employees that is the first to arrive to pitch in and help, the last to leave until the work is done and is always there When you need her; and WHEREAS, this type of dedicated service must be acknowledged and rewarded. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council in and for the City of Mounds View does hereby award Mary Saarion a salary adjustment of 2% on the 1994 base, effective January 1, 1994, for consistent outstanding performance in her duties and responsibilities.
