CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING A POSITION RECLASSIFICATION FROM PUBLIC
WORKS SUPERVISOR TO PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AND PROVIDING
POSITION CLASSIFICATION AS LEADPERSON AND
RELATED COMPENSATION SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, in May, 1993 the Council appointed the Public Works
Supervisor as the acting department head for the Public Works
Department; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that the position would be re-
evaluated after one year and a reclassification considered
depending on satisfactory performance of position duties and
responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, during the past year the Public Works Supervisor,
Mike Ulrich, has demonstrated management, communication,
professional and teamwork skills that indicate the ability to
effectively manage the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, it is determined that efficient management of the
department will be best served by the creation of the position of
leadperson to serve as the department's second in command.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City council in and
for the City of Mounds View does hereby approve the position
reclassification from Public Works supervisor to Public Works
Director at the following Step 5 Plan:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the position of Leadperson is
hereby created with authorization for additional compensation in
the amount of $.75/hour.
