", .,.~ RESOLUTION NO. 4619 RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE STATE PRIMARY ELECTION WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is required by law to hold a State Primary Election; and WHEREAS, the State Primary Election will be held on September 13, 1994; and WHEREAS, the City hires election judges to conduct and count the ballots for this election; and WHEREAS, any individual who is eligible to vote in an election precinct is qualified to be appointed as an election judge for that precinct; and WHEREAS, no more than half of the election judges in a precinct may be members of the same political party; and WHEREAS, all proposed election judges listed on the attached sheet have met all of the State qualifications for the position of election judge. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ratify the appointment of election judges made by the Mayor on August 29, 1994. Said appointments are attached. BUT IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds View authorizes the Clerk-Administrator to appoint an election judge where there is a vacancy, if necessary. The City Council adopted Resolution No. 4619 at their August 29, 1994 Council Meeting which is the resolution which ratifies the appointment of election judges for the State Primary Election. The resolution states that the Clerk-Administrator can appoint an election judge where there is a vacancy. The resolution attachment inadvertently left off the Co- Chairperson, Alice Frits. Ms. Frits should be added as Co- Chairperson.
