RESOLUTION NO. 5080
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MASTER AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL
SPORTS CENTER FOR THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S PARTICIPATION IN THE
NATIONAL SPORTS CENTER ICE COMPLEX
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View, along with the cities of New Brighton, Arden Hills and
Shoreview have collectively agreed it to be in the self interest of these communities to participate
in securing new indoor ice time for their boys and girls skating groups and community residents,
and
WHEREAS, the four afore mentioned cities have jointly worked with the Minnesota Amateur
Sports Commission at the National Sports Center to facilitate the construction of a new four ice
sheet arena at the National Sports Center complex in Blaine, and
WHEREAS, these four cities have secured agreements for cost participation in the construction
and operation of such a facility with Ramsey County, the lrondale Youth Hockey Association and
the Mounds View Youth Hockey Association, and
WHEREAS, the terms as laid out in the attached master agreement meet these objectives,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Mounds View to authorize
the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator to execute and approve the Master Agreement with the
Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission for the National Sports Center Ice Complex,
