CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT TO THE NATIONAL SPORTS CENTER
MASTER AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S PARTICIPATION IN A DESIGNATED ICE
RINK AT THE NATIONAL SPORTS CENTER ICE COMPLEX WITH THE CITIES OF ARDEN HILLS, NEW
BRIGHTON AND SHOREVIEW, AND RAMSEY COUNTY, THE IRONDALE YOUTH HOCKEY
ASSOCIATION AND THE MOUNDS VIEW YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View, along with the cities of New Brighton, Arden Hills and Shoreview have
collectively agreed it to be in the self interest of these communities to participate in securing new indoor ice time for
their boys and girls skating groups and community residents, and
WHEREAS, the four afore mentioned cities have worked jointly with the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission at the
National Sports Ccnter to facilitate the construction of a new four ice shcet arena at the National Sports Centcr complex
in Blaine, and
WHEREAS, these four cities have secured agreements for cost participation in the construction and operation of such a
facility with Ramsey County, the Irondale Youth Hockey Association and the Mounds View Youth Hockey Association,
and
WHEREAS, the terms as laid out in the master agreement meet these objectives, and
WHEREAS, the relationships betwecn the Cities of Mounds View, Shoreview, New Brighton, and Arden Hills,
heretofore known as SAMN, and Ramsey County, the Irondale Youth Hockey Association and the Mounds View Youth
Hockey Association have bccn established in the attached Supplcmental Agreement,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Mounds View to authorize the Mayor and Clerk-
Administrator to execute and approve the Supplemental Agreement to the National Sports Center Master Agreement
with the Cities of Shoreview, New Brighton, Arden Hills, and Ramsey County, and the lrondah,: Youth Hockey
Association and the Mounds View Youth Hockey Association,
