<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5091 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONSIDERING OLD HIGHWAY 8 RECONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reconstruction of Ramsey County Old <br />Highway 8 from the New Brighton / Mounds View city limits is <br />identified in the County's capital improvement program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city's engineer has concurred with <br />Ramsey County's feasibility report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has entered into a <br />cooperative agreement with Ramsey County to reconstruct Old Highway <br />8 within the City of Mounds View; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution Numbers 5033 Approving <br />Construction Plans, 5034 Approving Cooperative Agreement, and 5035 <br />Approving Parking Restrictions were approved by the City Council on <br />November 12, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County is the contracting agent and <br />has developed plans, specifications and advertised the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is proposing to pay <br />for the public improvements in part with special assessments <br />against the benefitted properties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the resolution setting the public <br />hearing and public hearing notices were mailed to affected <br />properties and were published in the official city newspaper <br />according to section 8.04 of the City Charter and Chapter 202 of <br />the Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a pUblic hearing was held on February 24, <br />1997 to consider public input regarding the proposed project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View Minnesota, concurs with Ramsey County's <br />feasibility study and finds that the reconstruction of Old Highway <br />8 is feasible, necessary and cost-effective. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Ramsey County is the <br />contracting agent for the project and has developed plans, <br />specifications and was advertised for the project. <br />
