CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND THE
CHILDRENS HOME SOCIETY OF MINNESOTA AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR AND
MA YOR TO EXECUTE THE LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY
WHEREAS. the City Council ("Council") of the City of Mounds View ("City") had
previously authorizcd City staff to enter into negotiations with the Childrcns Home Society of
Minnesota ("Childrens Home") to develop the terms of a lcase ("Lease") under which Childrens
Homc would lease space from thc City in a certain portion of the City's newly developed Bel Rae
Community Center ("Lcascd Prcmises"); and
WHEREAS, thc City Clerk-Administrator has been negotiating with Childrens Homc over
thc past several months rcgarding thc terms of thc Lease; and
WHEREAS. the City and Childrcns Ilome have reachcd an agreement rcgarding the terms
of the Lcase which call for Childrens I-Iome to leasc the Leased Premiscs from the City for
rcnewable five year terms at approximately $55,000 per year being paid to the City; and
WHEREAS. the Council has reviewed the tcrms of the proposed Lease as recommcnded
by the City Clerk-Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council hereby approves the terms
of the proposed Lease bctwccn thc City and Childrens Homc: and
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED, that the Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City
Clerk-Administrator to execute the Lease with Childrcns Home on bchalf of the City.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Minnesota this 12th day of
May, 1997.
