RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR WAYNE BURMEISTER
FOR TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE ON THE
PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Wayne Burmeister has devoted twenty-seven years to the development
of the Mounds View Parks system and has been instrumental in land acquisition,
development and continued improvements of the parks; and
WHEREAS, Wayne has chaired the Mounds View Parks and Recreation
Commission for over ten years; and
WHEREAS, his dedication to recreational services goes beyond the advisory level
as exhibited by his many years of coaching youth sports, leading scout troops, participating
in special events and the organization of community projects and activities; and
WHEREAS, Wayne has donated his professional skills of surveying in establishing
property markers at Silver View Park and other parks whenever the need comes up; and
WHEREAS, his dedication in attendance at meetings over the years has been close
to a 100 percent attendance record; and
WHEREAS, Wayne has a historical chronology of the development of the Mounds
View parks system and has retained books and records of the entire twenty-seven years of
servIce.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE KNOWN that the Mayor and members of the
City Council appreciate Wayne Burmeister for the many years of service and dedication to
the development of the Mounds View parks system and recreation programs.
