RESOLUTION NO. 5208
Approving salary adjustments for all non-union employees for 1998
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
County of Ramsey
State of Minnesota
Councilor introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS. the cost of living wage increases for governmental employees for 1998 appear to be
averaging approximately 3%: and
WHEREAS. the City did not increase its contribution towards the cost of employees' health insurance
in 1997 and it appears that the cost of health insurance for 1998 will be increasing in excess of 5%: and
WHEREAS, the City has not settled its contract with thc two unions representing its Police Depmtment
employees.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that it
does hereby approve a 3% salary increase to all full-time employees and permanent pmt-time employees
as per the attached 1998 Salary Schedule. excluding those Police Department employees covered by
union contracts. retroactive to January I. 1998.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL YED. that the City does hereby increase its maximum contribution towards
health and other associated insurances from $330 per month to $340 per month. effective January I.
1998. for all eligible employees, excluding those Police Department employees covered by union
contracts.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilor and the roll
being call, the following vote was recorded:
Voting Aye: Councilors.
Voting Nay:
Not Voting:
Whereas said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 26th day of January,
1998.
