<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5249 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONSIDERING THE RELOCATION OF EDGEWOOD DRIVE, <br />STREET DESIGNATION AND WETLAND MITIGATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View is supporting the construction of a traffic signal on TH 10 <br />at the entrance to the theater development and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the relocation of Edgewood Drive is <br />necessary per MnDot alignment with TH 10 and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Center and the City Hall <br />campus will benefit from the signalization of the intersection <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, to comply with MSA standard designs for <br />street construction and safety, Edgewwod Drive will encroach upon <br />the City Hall parking lot and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, alternative design routes were researched <br />and none were found to comply with MSA standards and safe traffic <br />management. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, alternate parking resolutions for City <br />Hall have been identified as operating the reduced lot at the <br />capacity identified in Exhibit A, expand the parking lot to <br />provide parking per the existing lot, pursue mitigation of the <br />wetland identified on the Community Center site and construct the <br />parking lot per the original design which could allow for <br />overflow parking of City Hall events, or possibly construction of <br />a separate parking lot located between the Water Reservoir and <br />the Public Works Facility for the activities at the ball field. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View that the relocation of Edgewood Drive <br />will be in accordance with the preliminary design labeled Exhibit <br />A and that this road realignment and continuation of the Edgewood <br />Drive to County Road H2, be designated a MSA (Minnesota State <br />Aid) street and will abide by all subsequent design standards. <br />
