<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5255 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO WORK WITH THE CITY OF SPRING LAKE PARK TO <br />ADD LIONS NAME TO LAKESIDE PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cities of Mounds View and Spring Lake Park share in managing <br />Lakeside Park for the benefit of both communities' residents'; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Spring Lake Park has recognized the efforts of the Spring Lake <br />Park Lions Club in their donations of time, energy and funds to the betterment of Lakeside Park <br />for all park users and their enjoyment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Spring Lake Park wishes to honor those efforts of the Spring <br />Lake Park Lions Club which camc during a time of significant reductions in state aids to cities by <br />adding the name "Lions" to the name of Lakeside Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds Vicw also recognizcs the contributions made to <br />Lakeside Park, appreciate:s the benefits from the cfforts of its own Mounds View Lions Club in <br />many projects in thc community, and thcreby agrees recognition is appropriate to such groups for <br />their efforts and contributions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cooperative spirit of the two cities and its contributing community <br />groups would be duly recognizcd in the addition of "Lions" to the nanle of Lakeside Park; <br /> <br />HEREBY D UL Y RESOLVE to support the renaming of Lakeside Park to "Lakeside <br />Lions Park" in recognition of the contributions made to that park and in continuation of the spirit <br />of support between these two communities in overseeing this great amenity shared between <br />them. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of July, 1998. <br /> <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />(Seal): <br /> <br />cU2J. · . <br /> <br />Charles s.
