CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION 1HANKING THE MOUNDS VIEW llON'S nUB
FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO FIREWORKS
FOR THE 1991 "FESTIVAL IN THE PARK" CRT .RRRATION
WHEREAS, the city celebration was to be held only if funding for the activities
were contributed from outside sources; and
WHEREAS, the fireworks display has always been a large attraction during the
"Festival in the Park" celebration; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the fireworks were prohibitive for the City budget;and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Lion's Club donated $5,000.00 which is the total
cost of the fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, those people that were in attendance at the fireworks display
enjoyed a wonderful show of a Mounds View sky lit up in many different colors and
patterns.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View thanks the Mounds View Lion's Club for their generous contribution of
$5,000.00 for the total cost of the fireworks display during the "Festival in the Park" city
celebration.
