STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIAL COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR
FOCUS 2000 SIGNS
WHEREAS, the City Council has initiated a community driven, long range
strategic planning process known as FOCUS 2000; and
WHEREAS, FOCUS 2000 is designed to involve, to the greatest extent possible, all the
Stakeholders of the City of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, it is vital to the success of FOCUS 2000 that the City publicize the Forum
dates in a manner that will reach the maximum number of people; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to advertise the two public Forums to be held on July 21 st and
22nd, the City will place lawn signs in areas around the City; and
WHEREAS, the signs are in conformance with current City codes in relation to size; and

WHEREAS, in order to place the signs in areas designated in the City, it is necessary
for the City Council to grant special approval, as per Chapter 39.14 of the City Code; and
WHEREAS, Council approval is also required to waive all fees as per Chapter 39.11 of
the City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council in and for the City of
Mounds View does hereby grant approval for the temporary placement of FOCUS 2000 signs
in the City from July 13, 1993 to July 23, 1993, recognizing that the City must obtain
permission from any property owner prior to the placement of all signs.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds View does
hereby waive all sign permit fees.
