CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
ST ATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET TRANSFER FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE METRO EAST
DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP
WHEREAS, Metro East Development Partnership (MEDP) is a non profit organization formed to
stimulate the growth and diversification of the economic base and employment opportunities in the metro east
region which includes Ramsey, Washington and Dakota Counties; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View's economic development activities have included working with
MEDP in responding to requests for available sites for new and expanding businesses; and
WHEREAS, membership in MEDP will enhance the current economic development program and
regional partnerships to include development of entrepreneurial ventures, additional assistance with retention and
expansion and use of comprehensive business data services provided by MEDP, and
WHEREAS, approximately 25 other area cities are members of MEDP along with 80 private
corporations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council in and for the City of Mounds
View does herehy authorize memhership in the Metro East Development Partnership at a cost not to exceed
$500; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City does hereby approve and authorize a transfer of
funds from Contingency Account # 100-4450-000 to account # 100-4100-303 City Council, Professional
Sl:rvices.
