RESOLUTION NO. 4729
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE JOINT DISTRICT 621/
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ALLIANCE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, School District 621 Board members have requested that the City and
the District explore ways to identify educational needs of students attending Pinewood
and Sunnyside Elementary Schools; and
WHEREAS, the City is interested in exploring opportunities to assist the District in
meeting the needs of Mounds View students; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the District Board and the City Council that
an Alliance Task Force be created to identify needs, determine best courses of action
and make recommendations to the Board and the City.
WHEREAS, at the February 27th Council meeting, Resolution No. 4718 was
approved by Council to establish the Alliance Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Council has discussed the City's representation on the Task Force
to be:
Councilmember Trude, representing the City Council; Councilmember Blanchard
as Alternate
Councilmember Hankner, serving as Commissioner of the Economic Development
Authority, Councilmember Quick as Alternate and
Dan Nelson, representing the Economic Development Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council in and for the City
of Mounds View does hereby approve the appointments of Councilmember Trude,
Councilmember Blanchard (alternate), Councilmember Hankner, Councilmember Quick
(alternate) and Dan Nelson to the 621/City Alliance Task Force.
Adopted this 20th day of March, 1995.
