COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASING OF THREE 2013 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR
SEDAN SQUAD CARS AND EQUIPMENT SETUPS
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement
schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the police department is properly equipped to
provide emergency response to its citizens, and;
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the
replacement of three squad cars in 2013 at $23,000 plus equipment and setup costs of
$6,000 and;
WHEREAS, Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls has been awarded the state bid
contract for the 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan at an approximate cost of $23,837
and;
WHEREAS, a 2006 and a 2008 police squad car will be designated for sale at a
future auction administered by the Admin Minnesota State Surplus Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View,Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the purchase of three 2013 Ford
Police Interceptor Sedans at an approximate cost of$23,837 each, plus setup costs of
approximately $6000 each and to sell two older squad cars being replaced through the
Admin Minnesota State Surplus Services Auction.
