RESOLUTION NO. 4750
STATE OF MINNESOTA
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 3,1995 AS "ARBOR DAY" AND
THE MONTH OF MAY AS "ARBOR MONTH"
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for thirteen
consecutive years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its
efforts in urban forestry; and
WHEREAS, trees in Mounds View reduce cooling and heating costs, clean the
air, produce oxygen, and provide habitat for wildlife; and
WHEREAS, school children of Mounds View will be planting trees in Greenfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the month of May is hereby
proclaimed as "Arbor Month" and citizens are called upon to assist in the planting of
trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and future generation.
