<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4813 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE ABATEMENT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND HAZARDOUS <br />BUILDING LOCATED AT 7618 EDGEWOOD DRIVE IN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution no. 4590, ordered the abatement of a public nuisance <br />and hazardous building at 7618 Edgewood Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by an order dated September 8, 1994, a court order was issued ordering the owners <br />of the property at 7618 Edgewood Drive to abate the public nuisance and hazardous building by making <br />certain corrections on the property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, two of the four units on the property are vacant and have been abandoned by the <br />tenants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the two vacant units are unlocked and evidence of burnt pieces of paper and garbage <br />have been found in the vacant units; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the housing inspector has determined that there is a potential fire hazard as a result of <br />the accumulation of matches, paper and garbage in the unoccupied units; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, potential fire and safety hazards exist in the two unoccupied units as a result of the <br />accumulation of debris and as a result of trespassers entering the unoccupied units; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of the building has abandoned the property and cannot be located; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. The two unoccupied units located at 7618 Edgewood Drive in the City of Mounds View <br />constitute a public nuisance within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Section 561. 0 1, <br />Section 561.02 and Chapter 604 of the Mounds View city code. <br /> <br />2. The clerk-administrator or her authorized designee is directed to remove all debris that <br />constitutes a safety or fire hazard in the two vacant units and to board up the two vacant <br />units located on the property so that they are inaccessible by trespassers or other persons. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />,1995. <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />/, <br />, A.-te-l0{..{j <br />
