<br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4825 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4821 ADOPTING <br />STREET STANDARDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View will adopt the <br />following street standards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the adoption of street standards will aid <br />in reconstructing streets that will safely and in the most <br />efficient manner accommodate multi-model transportation and <br />parking; and <br />WHEREAS, all street reconstructed will have B618 <br />curb and gutter and the recommended standard width will be 30 feet <br />measured from face of curb to face of curb; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, should circumstances exist that would <br />greatly increase the construction cost, or be determined to be a <br />detriment to the neighborhood such as, but not limited to, a higher <br />than normal amount of relocation of underground utilities, loss of <br />an extremely high amount of mature trees, additional landscaping <br />required such as timber walls, or reductions of driveway slopes, <br />the street may be constructed to a minimum width of 28 feet as <br />determined by -t:fte a Feasibility Study ao outlincd in '~oundD vic'ili <br />Uunicipal Codc Chaptcr 202 and approval of the majority of the <br />property owners on the affected street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if a street is constructed at a width of 28 <br />feet, parking will be restricted to one side; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, streets designated as Municipal State Aid <br />(MSA) streets will be constructed in accordance with MSA standards <br />of 26 feet No Parking Both Sides, 32 feet parking One Side, 38 feet <br />Parking Both Sides, to receive funding and will be assessed only <br />for the recommended width; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when a street is proposed to be <br />reconstructed a neighborhood informational meeting will be held to <br />inform the residents of the extent of the improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the majority of the affected properties <br />within the entire project may elect to reconstruct the street wider <br />than the recommended width, and will be assessed for the entire <br />width. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the city of Mounds View adopts a recommended street width of 30 <br />feet measured from face of curb to face of curb. <br />
