<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4826 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MS. SUSIE KAISER TO CONDUCT COMMUNITY <br />FOCUS GROUPS AS PER THE PROPOSAL OF THE COMMUNITY <br />CONNECTIONS COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 27, 1995, the City Council appointed the City <br />representatives to the joint City/School District which became known as the <br />Community Connections Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with exploring the feasibility of <br />additional educational and recreational facilities at Edgewood Middle School; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Committee has determined that a broader examination of the <br />educational, recreational and social needs of the community is required before a <br />recommendation can be made as to the feasibility of a joint facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Committee has proposed that focus groups be conducted by <br />Ms. Susie Kaiser during the months of October and NOvember and consist of the <br />following group: <br /> <br />* <br />* <br /> <br />Families with elementary, middle and high school students <br />Families with pre-school children <br />Students of elementary, middle and high schools <br />Senior citizens <br />Educational and social service providers <br />Customers of adult educational and recreation programs <br />Business representatives; and <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the results of the focus groups will be presented to the City <br />Council at the December, 1995, Work Session. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council in and for the City <br />of Mounds View does hereby authorize Ms. Susie Kaiser to conduct community focus <br />groups as per the recommendation of the Community Connections Committee. <br />
