CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING WETLAND ALTERATION PERMIT REQUEST FOR
SHERRI RUF TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE FAMILY HOME ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT LOT 2, BLOCK 1 DOWNING ADDITION
PLANNING CASE NO. 401-94
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has reviewed the
request by Sherri Ruf for a wetland alteration permit to construct
a single family home on her property which is located in a wetland
zone; and
WHEREAS, the location of the home on the property meets
all setback requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Code allows construction in a
wetland zone with approval of Wetland Alteration Permit; and
WHEREAS, the City Consulting Engineer has reviewed the
request and determined that it meets the intent of the Municipal
Code and that there will be no adverse impacts on the wetland as a
result of the proposed structure and associated landscaping.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City
Council approves the Wetland Alteration Permit request by Sherri
Ruf for the property legally known as Lot 2, Block 1 Downing
Addition contingent upon the following:
1. The applicant shall provide the City of Mounds View with
documentation from the Rice Creek Watershed District
indicating their approval/awareness of the project.
2. The applicant shall escrow funds, in an amount to be
determined by the City consulting Engineer, to ensure
that mitigation efforts on the site are satisfactorily
completed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Administrator are authorized to execute a Development Agreement
with the applicant to ensure completion of the wetland mitigation.
