CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STA TE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPOINTING BARBARA L. THOMAS TO FILL A V ACA TED SEAT
ON THE MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission acts as an advisory body to the City
Council on matters that relate to residential, commercial, industrial development and
redevelopment, zoning and comprehensive planning; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission is composed of nine Mounds View residents; and
WHEREAS, due to the recent resignation of Commissioner Ordeen Braathen, there is a
vacancy on the Planning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Chapter 401 of the Mounds View Municipal Code authorizes new members
to be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, Barbara Thomas, 5444 Landmark Circle, has applied to f1II the vacant seat
on the Planning Commission, citing an interest in local government operations and a desire to
become more involved within the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Barbara L. Thomas, 5444 Landmark
Circle, is hereby appointed to serve the remainder of the term to expire December 31, 2001.
