CITY OF !\;IOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STA TE OF MINNESOTA
RECOGNITION OF THE ABOLITION OF A PART-TIlVIE CUSTODIAL
CONTRACT POSITION WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COMMUNITY CENTER AND THE AUTHORIZATION TO CREATE A
FULL-TIME CUSTODIAL AND MAINTENANCE POSITION FOR THE
COMMUNITY CENTER DUE TO A CHANGE IN THE NEEDS OF THE
CITY AND COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is eliminating the pm1-time custodial contract
position in the City's Community Center because it no longer meets the Community Center's
needs; and
WHEREAS, the City has already provided more than two weeks' notice to the
independent contractor eUlTently holding the part-time custodial contract position; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to create a full-time custodial and maintenance position to
provide custodial and maintenance services to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The recitals set f0l1h in this resolution arc incorporated into and made a part of this
resolution.
2. The City Council of the City of Mounds View aholishes the part-time custodial
contract position in the City's Community Center because such position no longer meets the
Community Center's needs.

3. The City Council authorizes the creation or a full-time custodial and maintenance
position to provide custodial and maintenance services to the City, as has been determined to be in
the best interest of the City.
4. The Mayor, City Clerk-Administrator, staff and consultants arc hereby authorized
and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to
accomplish the intent of this resolution,
