<br />RESOLUTION 5499 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIE\V <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISTRIBUTION OF A REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR A DESIGN CONSULTANT TO DEVELOP AND <br />RECOl\'Il\IEl\"D A HIGH\VAY 10 RECONSTRUCTION AND REVITALIZATION PLAN, <br />SPECIAL PLANNING CASE SP077-00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thc City of Mounds Vicw desires to employ the services of a design <br />consultant to dcvclop and rccommend a Highway 10 reconstruction and revitalization plan; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS. based upon thc City's direction and the ctTorts ofthc Higl1\vay 10 Steering <br />Committee, Springsted Incorporated drafted a Request For Proposals (RFP), attachcd hereto as <br />Exhibit A; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the RFP seeks a qualified design consultant to address the following <br />generally describcd issues: <br /> <br /> 1. <br />. 2. <br /> 3. <br /> <br />What can be done along the Highway 10 con-idor to increase pedestrian and tral'lIc safety? <br /> <br />What can be done to change the appearance of the Highway 10 corridor from a freeway to <br />a community boulevard and enhance community identity? <br /> <br />What can bl: done with the Highway 10 con-idol' to encourage I:conomic <.kve1opment'! <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the RFP was identified as onc of the shOlt-term administrative actions to <br />support the approved Highway 10 Action Plan; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposals are to be received by the City no later than February 16,2001. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hcrcby authorize stafTto distribute the Request For Proposals for a design consultant to develop <br />and recommend a Highway 10 reconstruction and revitalization plan. <br /> <br />Adopted this II ,h day of December, 2000, W"" 6y:z.J(~,,---: <br /> <br />c:a,~ ,c.,_ol..llb,Yhlin..
