RESOLUTION NO. 5531
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF A NEW POSITION IN THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT - SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER
WHEREAS, members of the City Council consisting of members representing the
community and serving the Citizens of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Police Department and request by
the School District, the City Council shall cause the creation of a new position in the
Police Department to occur; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the position of school resource officer
shall benefit both the City and the School District, and that the School District is
committed to the concept; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby
authorize the creation of the position of School Resource Officer at Edgewood Middle
School and give authority to fill the position.
