CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND THE MINNEAPOLIS METRO NORTH
CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU.
WHEREAS, The City has enacted a tax on lodging with the City to fund a
convention and visitors bureau in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section
469.190.
WHEREAS, The Minneapolis Metro North Convention and Visitors Bureau
has the staff, facility, and experience to carry out the objectives of promoting the City as
a tourist and convention center.
WHEREAS, The City desires the Minneapolis Metro North Convention
and Visitors Bureau to provide the services of a convention and visitors bureau on
behalf of the City, and the bureau desires to provide those services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mounds View hereby approves the Convention and Visitors Bureau Agreement
by and between the City of Mounds View and the Minneapolis Metro North Convention
and Visitors Bureau and authorizes the City Clerk-Administrator and Mayor to sign the
Agreement.
