RESOLUTION NO. 5587
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION BID FOR CITY
PROJECT 01-06, EDGEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL REGIONAL POND.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View advertised for
bids for the construction of the Edgewood Middle School Regional Pond, and;
WHEREAS, the bid packages were opened and evaluated to identify
the lowest responsible bidder, and;
WHEREAS, the lowest bid for the project is $413,874, and;
WHEREAS, the total amount of the Edgewood Middle School Regional
Pond project including construction, engineering, and construction administration fees is
$511,874 and will be funded by the following revenue sources
SOURCES
DTED Redevelopment Grant $333,333
Ramsev Countv $ 64,150
Citv of Mounds View $ 90,968
Mermaid Surface Water Manaqement Fee $ 18,563
Benefitina Propertv Owner Contribution $ 4,860
TOTAL SOURCES: $511,874
USES
Pond Construction Bid $413,874
Engineering and Construction Administration $ 91,000
Expenses
TOTAL USES: $511,874
, and;
WHEREAS, the low bidders are identified in Exhibit A attached to this
resolution, and;
.
WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes the Director of Public Works to
sign all change orders up to 5% of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Mounds View does hereby approve and award the construction for the Edgewood
Middle School Regional Pond to the bidder identified in Exhibit A, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the total amount of the project
awarded will be $413,874 and;
BE IT FINAllY RESOLVED, that this project will be funded with the
aforementioned revenue sources and the City Council authorizes the Director of Public
Works to sign all change orders up to 5% of the awarded project.
