CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF A TWO-YEAR CONTRACT WITH
HUGHES & COSTEllO FOR POLICE PROSECUTION SERVICES
WHEREAS, Hughes & Costello, Attorney's at Law have been providing the Mounds View
Police Department with prosecution services since 1994;
WHEREAS, The current two-year contract for services expires December 31,2001;
WHEREAS, The police department has been extremely satisfied with the attention and
level of service provided by Hughes & Costello;
WHEREAS, The monthly fee of $3,875.00 provides for all police prosecution services as
set forth in the contract;
WHEREAS, The monthly fee for services reflects an increase of $200.00 per month over
the previous two year contract period;
WHEREAS, A comparison of fees paid by other local law enforcement agencies for similar
legal services show the amount charged by Hughes & Costello to be fair and reasonable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Mounds View
approves the renewal of a two-year prosecution services contract from January 1, 2002
through December 31,2003 with Hughes & Costello, Attorney's at Law.
Adopted this 13th day of August 2001.
