RESOLUTION NO. 6539
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLlCTION TO THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION
CONTROL AGENCY VOLUNTARY INVESTIGATION AND CLEANUP PROGRAM TO
REQUEST A NO ACTION LETTER FOR CITY PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE FORMER
SYSCO PROPERTY;
WHEREAS, Conestoga-Rovers and Associates (CRA), a consultant for
Medtronic, Inc., has conducted an environmental assessment of the City property
known as the Bridges of Mounds View and the former Sysco property; and,
WHEREAS, CRA found debris, including concrete, bricks and tires, buried on the
former Sysco property; and,
WHEREAS, the City can request a No Action letter from the Minnesota Pollution
Control Agency (MPCA) Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup Program (VIC), which would
provide assurance that the City will not be responsible for future cleanup requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council
authorizes Staff to apply for a No Action letter from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup Program.
