CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE BRIDGES REDEVELOPMENT
SITE ALTERNATIVE URBAN AREAWIDE REVIEW (AUAR);
SPECIAL PLANNING CASE SP-137 -05
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has directed staff to explore potential
redevelopment options relating to the Bridges of Mounds View Golf Course site as
identified in the map attached as Exhibit 1, and;
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Economic Development Authority (EOA) authOrlLecJ
the preparation of an Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) to assess the m,lxlrnurll
development potential of the Bridges site assuming a corporate office land use. and.
WHEREAS, the EDA selected the consulting firm RLK-Kuuslsto, L TO (RLK) to
coordinate and prepare the AUAR document; and,
WHEREAS, the City and RLK followed all statutory gUidelines and requirements
regarding the preparation and publication of the AUAR; and,
WHEREAS, the AUAR dated November 17, 2004 and the AUAR Ar11end men! iHld
Mitigation Plan dated April 22,2005 are complete; and,
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council on June 27,2005 approved the terrns 01
the proposed sale of the Bridges site to Medtronic and approved the terms of the pruPOSt;i!
contract for private development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council accepts
and approves the Bridges Redevelopment Site Alternative Urban Areawide ReView (AUAF~)
and Mitigation Plan and makes a negative declaration on the need for an Environmental
Impact Statement (EIS).
Adopted this 11th day of July, 2005.
