CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR JERRY JOHNSON
WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson has retired from the Mounds View Police Department
effective May 31,2005; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation time is 54.65 hours as
of May 31 , 2005; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 2,168.73
hours effective May 31,2005; and
WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson's current annual salary is $69,222.40 a year which
translates to a rate of pay of $33.28 per hour; and
WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 54.65 hours x
$33.28 = $1,818.76 and the contribution to the Retirement Health Savings Plan will be
2,168.73 hours x 65% x $33.28 = $46,914.16.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approve a one-time payout of accrued and unused vacation time in an amount not to
exceed $1,818.76 and contribution to the Retirement Health Savings Plan not to exceed
$46,914.16 as of May 31,2005 to Jerry Johnson.
