RESOLUTION NO. 6552
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR CHARLIE HANSEN
WHEREAS, Charlie Hansen has resigned from his position as Finance Director
with the City of Mounds View effective June 3, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.35D: Separation Compensation of the City's personnel
manual indicates that an employee will be compensated for accrued vacation time and
50% of accrued sick leave upon separation; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation time is 259.02 hours as
of June 3, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 286.20 hours
effective June 3, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Charlie Hansen's current annual salary is $78,728.00 which
translates to a rate of pay of $37.85 per hour; and
WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 259.02 hours
x $37.85 = $9,803.91 and the maximum potential payout of sick leave time will be
286.20 hours x 50% x $37.85 = $5,416.34 for a total of $15,220.25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
approve a one-time payout of accrued and unused vacation time in an amount not to
exceed $9,803.91 and 50% of accrued and unused sick leave in an amount not to
exceed $5,416.34 as of June 3, 2005 to Charlie Hansen.
Adopted this 13th day of June, 2005.
