APPROVAL OF PROHIBITING PARKING ON KNOLLWOOD DRIVE SOUTH

STATE OF MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the City has received a letter from the Messiah
Lutheran Church requesting that the City post "No Parking" signs along both
sides of Knollwood Drive from County Road H2 to the south end of their property
(south 360 feet); and
WHEREAS, there are limited sight distances along this segment of
Knollwood Drive as well as a pedestrian crosswalk located mid-block, which raise
several safety issues and concerns; and

WHEREAS. eliminating parking on this segment of Knollwood Drive
will allow motorist to see pedestrians more clearly; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Public Safety Departments have
reviewed this segment of Knollwood Drive and recommend that the City post it as
"No Parking".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Parking shall be prohibited on both sides of Knollwood Drive from
County Road H2 south 360 feet.
2. The Mounds View Public Works Department is hereby authorized
to purchase the necessary signage and erect said signage as per
the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devises.
