RESOLUTION NO. 6604
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
SUPPORTING THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE
INTERSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD H AND SILVER LAKE ROAD
WHEREAS, Ramsey County has performed a traffic signal analysis at the
intersection of County Road H and Silver Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, based on the data from said analysis Ramsey County
recommended that this project be programmed in the Ramsey County
Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for construction in 2006 or 2007; and
WHEREAS, due to the need to balance the County's budget, several
projects, including the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of County
Road H and Silver Lake Road, was removed from the County's TIP and placed in
a category of "unfunded projects"; and

WHEREAS, the City wishes to address the demonstrated need for a traffic
signal at this intersection; and
WHEREAS, the County has recommend that the City submit a letter in
support of this project as the first course of action.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City
Council does hereby support the installation of a traffic signal at the
intersection of County Road H and Silver Lake Road and strongly
encourages Ramsey County to allocate the necessary funds to their
Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to finance implementation of
this project.
