RESOLUTION NO. 6409
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE TREE INVENTORY PROGRAM.
WHEREAS. the City of Mounds View has been offered a Tree Inventory
Grant contract in tile alllount of 55,000 with the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, On October 13, 2003 tile City Council approve resolution No.
6115 authorizing the execution of the State of Minnesota Agreclment for il Tree
Inventory,' Datab3se Grant; and
WHEREAS. a tree inventory of public land will provide a solid basis for
management and financial decisions; and
WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton has contracted with Kunde
Company, Incorporated to assist them in developing their tree inventory program;
and
WHEREAS, Staff, as well as the City Forester, felt that there are many
advantages to contract with the same company that supplied the City of New
Brighton with their tree inventory; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a letter quote from the Kunde
Company, Incorporated in the amount of 59,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the funds for this project have been included in the 2005
Forestry Fund of the General Budgot and will be eierived from Account 100-4380-
3900.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
r\.10unds View. Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the quote received from Kunde Company Incorporated in the
amount of 59.000.00 for work associated with the Tree Inventory
Program is acceptable and reasonable.
2.
That a contract to perform said work is awarded to Kunde Company
Incorporated and that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby
authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Kunde
Company. Incorporated.

That the funds to finance this project would be derived from Tree
Inventory Grant with matching funds derived from the 2005 Forestry
Fund of tile General Budget (Account: 100-4380-3900).
